Career Summary

Hildebrandt joins Atlanta United after spending the last two seasons with FC Cincinnati of the United Soccer League. The 29-year-old goalkeeper joined Cincinnati in its inaugural season in 2016 and guided them to back-to-back USL Cup Playoffs appearances while earning 2016 USL Goalkeeper of the Year honors. A Livonia, Michigan native, Hildebrandt began his professional career in 2012 with the Minnesota Stars of the North American Soccer League, now Minnesota United of MLS. He is a graduate of Oakland University where he played collegiately for the Golden Grizzlies.

2017 (FC Cincinnati): Hildebrandt made 31 starts in league play and recorded seven clean sheets. He made 105 saves and three penalty saves. USL PLAYOFFS: Started in the Conference Quarterfinals against Tampa Bay Rowdies in a 3-0 loss. U.S. OPEN CUP: Hildebrandt started five matches in Cincinnati’s run to the semifinals of the U.S. Open Cup. He produced three clean sheets in matches against Louisville City FC (June 1), Columbus Crew SC (June 15) and Miami FC (Aug. 3). Hildebrandt saved three penalties in a shootout against Chicago Fire (June 29) in the Round of 16 to lead Cincinnati to the quarterfinals. FC Cincinnati ultimately lost to New York Red Bulls 2-3 (Aug. 16) in the semifinals.

2016 (FC Cincinnati): Hildebrandt made 30 league starts and produced 12 clean sheets in FC Cincinnati’s inaugural season. He made 77 saves with a 74.8 save success rate en route to being named 2016 USL Goalkeeper of the Year. Cincinnati finished third in the league and qualified for the USL Playoffs. USL PLAYOFFS: Hildebrandt started in the Conference Quarterfinals against Charleston Battery (Oct. 2). He made three saves, but Cincinnati fell 2-1. U.S. OPEN CUP: Hildebrandt made one start in the Third-Round match against Tampa Bay Rowdies (June 2). Cincinnati lost 1-0.

2015 (Minnesota United): Hildebrandt made seven total appearances across the Spring and Fall seasons. U.S. OPEN CUP: He made one starts against St. Louis FC (May 28) in a 1-1 (4:2 penalties) loss in the Third Round.

2014 (Minnesota United): Hildebrandt made five appearances across the Spring and Fall seasons and produced three clean sheets.

2013 (Minnesota United): Hildebrandt made two appearances in the Fall season.

2012 (Minnesota Stars): Hildebrandt made his professional debut against Tampa Bay Rowdies (May 26) and recorded a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw. He made three total appearances.

COLLEGE (Oakland University): Hildebrandt made 52 appearances over four seasons and compiled an 81.9 save percentage with 249 total saves. During his time with the Golden Grizzlies, he served as a team captain, was named the Summit League Defensive Player of the Year and was twice named to the All-Summit League First Team.
