ATLANTA (Feb. 25, 2025) — Atlanta United 2 today announced two new signings for the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season. Defender Nyk Sessock brings MLS NEXT Pro experience to the team, and defender Ronan Wynne signs after being selected by Atlanta United in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft. Both players have signed with ATL UTD 2 for the 2025 season with a club option for 2026.

Sessock, 24, played in the Philadelphia Union youth development academy before spending two seasons at the University of Pittsburgh, starting 32 of 37 games played. In 2020, Sessock transferred to Indiana University, where he played for three seasons.

As a Hoosier, Sessock started in 52 of 58 games played, leading the side to a Big Ten Regular Season Championship and Tournament Championship in 2020, and two NCAA National Championship appearances in 2020 and 2022.

Sessock joins the team after spending the last two seasons with Inter Miami II, scoring two goals with eleven assists in 27 games.

Defender Ronan Wynne joins ATL UTD 2 after being selected No. 53 by the 5-Stripes in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft. Wynne is a two-time Summit League Defensive Player of the Year with the University of Denver.

Wynne, 23, started all but one of his 70 career games with the Pioneers, winning three Summit League Regular Season Championships in 2020, 2021 and 2022, and a Summit League Tournament Championship in 2021. In 2024, Wynne helped the Pioneers reach the NCAA College Cup for the first time in eight years.

Wynne is internationally eligible to play for New Zealand, where he was a reserve for the U-23 youth national team in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

ATL UTD 2’s regular season opens on Friday, March 7 at Fifth Third Stadium in Kennesaw, Georgia against New York Red Bulls II.
