Atlanta United Academy forward Lagos Kunga has made the 21-player U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team roster selected by head coach Tab Ramos that will compete at the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Korea Republic, which runs from May 20-June 11.

Kunga, 18, is a highly-rated academy prospect currently playing for Atlanta United’s U-18’s. This is his second call-up with the U.S. U-20’s after joining the team for a training camp last month in London, England.

“Lagos has shown how hard work and perseverance can pay off and this is a tremendous opportunity for him to showcase his abilities,” Atlanta United Academy Director Tony Annan said. “We couldn’t be more proud to have someone like Lagos represent our club and our academy on the international stage. We look forward to watching him and wish the group best of luck in Korea.”

The U.S. was drawn into Group F with Ecuador, Senegal and Saudi Arabia. The team opens group play against Ecuador on May 22 (4 a.m. ET), followed by matches with Senegal on May 25 (7 a.m. ET) and Saudi Arabia on May 28 (5 a.m. ET). The first two games will be played at Incheon Stadium in Incheon, while the third and final group game will be played at Daejeon World Cup Stadium in Daejeon. All of the U.S.’s group matches will be broadcast live on FS1.
