With Atlanta United’s inaugural match only days away, anticipation for the opening match has reached record levels. The club has sold over 30,000 season tickets for the 2017 Inaugural Season, which ranks Atlanta United second in MLS in season ticket sales, and is the most season tickets sold ever for an expansion club. Atlanta will also be home to one of the largest Supporters sections in MLS, with over 4,000 seats filled to date.
Tickets are selling out quickly for the club’s Inaugural match on March 5 against New York Red Bull at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
“The fan support has been incredible, and the atmosphere is going to be electric on March 5,” said Atlanta United president Darren Eales. “I can’t wait to see our supporters in the stands and our new fans experience their first professional soccer match. It will be like no other sporting event in Atlanta.”
