Atlanta United closed out the first half against Inter Miami CF in memorable fashion -- with three goals in an eight-minute span. It's tied for the second fastest time Atlanta United has scored three goals in club history.
The first arrived in the 36th minute with Tristan Muyumba's first goal for the club. And once Muyumba scored, the floodgates opened for Atlanta United's attack. The 5-Stripes would add two more goals -- one a Miami own goal, the other scored by Brooks Lennon -- to enter the halftime break leading Miami 3-1.
Saturday marked the fastest that Atlanta United has scored three goals this season. Previously, Atlanta United scored three goals in seven minutes twice and both times happened in 2017. First on May 28 against New York City FC, then later that season on September 20 against the L.A. Galaxy.
