Atlanta United U-15s Takes on LA Galaxy in MLS NEXT Cup Semi-Finals

Atlanta United Academy’s U-15 squad continues its stellar MLS NEXT Cup Playoff run and are set to face off against LA Galaxy in the semi-finals on Thursday, June 20. Kickoff in Nashville, Tenn. is slated for 5:00 p.m. ET and fans can tune in to cheer on the U-15s on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

Atlanta is coming hot off an electric quarterfinal matchup against FC Dallas on Tuesday that saw ATL UTD net a last second come-from-behind goal to bring things level 2-2 ahead of the final whistle. With the match level after 80 minutes, the two sides lined up for a penalty shootout that saw the 5-Stripes advance with a 4-2 result after goalkeeper James Donaldson set the tone by saving Dallas’ first attempt.

Atlanta began its playoff run cruising, kicking off its postseason with a 5-3 win over New York Red Bulls in the opening Round of 32 before the U-15s shutout Sacramento Republic FC 3-0 in the Round of 16. Through three rounds, Atlanta is tied for first in scoring with FC Cincinnati in the U-15 age group with each side having bagged 10 goals thus far

The winner of Thursday’s match will go on to battle the winner of the other semi-final matchup between FC Cincinnati and Chicago Fire FC. The final will be hosted at Geodis Park, the home of Nashville SC, on Sunday, June 23 at 1:00 p.m. ET. The final will also be streamed live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
