Shanti Das – Atlanta Native Music Industry Executive and Philanthropist
An Atlanta native, Shanti Das is a music industry executive, marketing consultant, entrepreneur, philanthropist and author, best known for her time as the Executive Vice President of Urban Marketing and Artist Development at Universal Motown Records. Early in her career, Das joined LaFace Records and was tasked with developing promotional campaigns for up-and-coming Atlanta acts, including OutKast, Goodie Mob, Usher, TLC and Toni Braxton. Das was named to Crain Communications' "40 Under 40" in 2009. In August 2010, Das wrote and published the book "The Hip-Hop Professional: A Woman’s Guide to Climbing the Ladder of Success in the Entertainment Business," which chronicles her 20-year career in the music industry.
Shanti Das is featured in the 2023 Atlanta United FC production ‘Inside the 404’, where she is featured as an insider to the city of Atlanta's rise to prominence, both within the hip hop community and as an international city. ‘Inside the 404’ is a documentary produced by Atlanta United FC in collaboration with Atlanta Influences Everything, as part of the launch of the 404 Kit, Atlanta United’s 2023 third kit.
