It's a double in the league honors column for the 5-Stripes! Emmanuel Latte Lath was named to his second MLS Team of the Matchday this season. Miguel Almirón was also selected to the Team of the Matchday bench for his performance. The two offseason acquisitions were instrumental in Atlanta United's 4-3 comeback win against New York City FC.

Latte Lath's goal and assist against NYCFC led to the first and last goal of the game for Atlanta United, as he scored the winner in the 84th minute.

Almirón scored a headed goal in the 75th minute that tied up the match. The Paraguayan had an inspired performance, particularly in the second half when he played centrally. He completed 92.9 percent of his passes and drove the ball forward with six progressive passes, according to FBRef.com.

Latte Lath was one of three forwards starting in Team of the Matchday 6. The natural goal scorer turned a provider in the 41st minute. Latte Lath picked up his first assist of the season when he settled a Saba Lobjanidze cross in the box first-time. The ball fed to Alexey Miranchuk, who put it away for his first goal of the season and the equalizer.

Over an hour of real time later, Latte Lath was still running at full speed. New York City center back Thiago Martins tried to settle a bouncing ball and let his keeper come to collect it. But Matt Freese never left his line. Latte Lath pounced, taking the ball off Martins and chipping it over Freese for the game-winning goal.

The forward is living up to his reputation — the only thing he loves more than running is scoring goals.

"He llegado aquí con todos esperan mucho de mí," Latte Lath said after the match. "Estoy contento porque estoy haciendo lo que quería hacer ... Me siento el cariño de todos los fans."

"I've arrived here with everyone hoping for a lot from me. I'm happy because I'm doing what I wanted to do ... I feel the affection from all the fans."

Latte Lath's first nomination came for Matchday 1, when he scored his season-opening brace against CF Montréal. He's Atlanta United's leading scorer this season and is tied for second-most goals in MLS this season. He and Almirón have been difference makers all season long for the 5-Stripes, and they'll be pleased their contributions led to three points for the second time this season.
