Atlanta United will have a national television audience this weekend for a long-awaited rematch. The 5-Stripes will make their first trip to the Sunshine State this season for a match with Orlando City SC Saturday, April 26 at 7:15 p.m. ET. The rivalry game will be broadcast on FOX and will be the first time the two teams have met since their Eastern Conference Semifinal match from last season.
Though it was Orlando that came out on top in that Audi MLS Cup Playoff knockout round, Atlanta United did the double over the Lions in the 2024 regular season. The 2-1 road win over Orlando on Decision Day earned the 5-Stripes a wild card spot. Jamal Thiaré, who scored in that decisive fixture, looks primed to start this Saturday with Emmanuel Latte Lath suspended.
Neither team has won a match in the month of April, with Orlando City drawing each of their last three meetings 0-0. Atlanta United will have the opportunity to end that shutout streak and their own goalless drought that has gone on for over two matches. Who will break first?
