Atlanta United returns home after two straight away matches to host Seattle Sounders on Saturday, August 6. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET.

The 5-Stripes are coming off earning a point on the road after drawing Chicago Fire 0-0. Meanwhile, Seattle Sounders had a midweek match on Tuesday and beat FC Dallas 1-0. This is the first meeting between the clubs since Gonzalo Pineda became the head coach of Atlanta United in 2021. Pineda previously worked as an assistant at Seattle for five seasons. It's also the last home match for Atlanta United president Darren Eales, who departs the club to join the front office at Newcastle United in the English Premier League.
