Josef Martinez's unstoppable scoring form has landed him in the headlines once again.
League writers named the Venezuelan striker in the MLS Team of the Week, the fourth time in the past five weeks he's been given the honor. This week's honor is thanks to his two-goal performance against Toronto FC that brought his season-long total to a staggering 26 goals, just one goal behind the single-season record, with 10 matches left to play. He tallied up seven shots in the match and proved once again why he is one of the most dangerous aerial threats in the league, winning 100% of his aerial duels over the course of the performance.
Meanwhile, Jeff Larentowicz also received some special praise, with the veteran central midfielder earning a spot on the bench after a commanding performance in the middle of the park.
