How to watch, listen and live stream Atlanta United vs. New York City FC

Recent Form

Atlanta United enters Wednesday's contest looking to continue the six match unbeaten streak the team had going before the international break. In that stretch, the 5-Stripes scored 14 goals and four times scored three or more goals. The return of veteran Brad Guzan from injury has also meant good things for the club. The goalkeeper had an incredible performance in the scoreless draw with LAFC on June 7, making eight saves to defy the narrative that the 38-year-old is ready to hang up his boots.

Series History and Last Meeting

The teams last saw each other for a 1-1 draw at Yankee Stadium earlier this season on April 8. New York City FC is unbeaten in seven straight meetings with Atlanta United, but enters Wednesday's match winless in five straight MLS matches, the second-longest run in club history.

Players To Watch

Tyler Wolff (Atlanta United) – The Homegrown has been in good form for Atlanta United in his fourth year with the team. He's yet to start a match on the season, but he's proven to be a valuable asset off the bench for head coach Gonzalo Pineda. In the 3-1 win over D.C. United on June 10, the 20-year-old scored his third goal of the season, all three goals coming as a substitute. With Giakoumakis unavailable, goal no. 4 for Wolff could go a long way to helping Atlanta United.

Gabriel Segal (New York City FC) – The 22-year-old forward from Bethesda, Maryland is another young player coming on strong for his club. Segal scored his second goal of the season Saturday, helping New York City FC steal a point against Columbus. His first goal of the season was also scored in the final moments of the match, making him one of just four players in the league, along with Atlanta's Thiago Almada, with multiple result-changing goals in the 89th minute or later. Atlanta will need to keep an eye on Segal in the match's final moments.

Head Coach Gonzalo Pineda on NYCFC:

“They have talented players up front, skillful players, fast dribbling, good at shooting, whether it’s (Santiago) Rodríguez, Talles Magno. How they dribble inside, they look for for shots… it’s very dangerous. The midfield is very physical. (Keaton) Parks is a guy that covers a lot of ground, that has high intensity, good on the ball. So I think they’re a good team, and we cannot prepare on all the deficiencies of the team. We have to try to think of the best side of New York City, and then try to face that with a lot of respect.”
