Coupled with their insane fan base, Atlanta's number 10 has been nothing short of a freight train. Miguel Almirón hit the net twice on Sunday to help propel Atlanta United to their second-straight win in the ATL and earning MLS Team of the Week honors for the second time in a row after another stellar performance from the Paraguayan. The 23-year-old has bagged five goals in the last two weeks to help climb Atlanta six more points up the Eastern Conference table.
Both of Almirón's finishes on Saturday were final results of teed up passes, emanating from two beautiful cutback crosses from SuperDraft selection Julian Gressel who earned a spot on the MLS Team of the Week bench along with Argentine center back Leandro González Pirez who was a rock on the back line as they avenged their last meeting with NYCFC. You can watch all the goals and highlights from their 3-1 victory here.
