ATLANTA—Ronald Hernández and Josef Martínez have received call-ups to the Venezuelan National Team by manager José Pékerman for two friendlies during the November window. The two players will join Venezuela for matches against Panama on Nov. 15 and Syria on Nov. 20, both of which will be played in United Arab Emirates.
Hernández has made 31 appearances for Venezuela and recorded one goal and three assists. He appeared in 11 of Venezuela’s 18 World Cup Qualifiers this past cycle and recorded an assist in two of his last four appearances. Martínez has made 63 career appearances for Venezuela and scored 14 goals with three assists, including seven appearances during the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying cycle. Martínez scored in Venezuela’s last match, a 4-0 win in a friendly against United Arab Emirates on Sept. 27, 2022.
