After a year and a half of monitoring Spike’s training, health and well-being, the team at America’s VetDogs discovered that he has a minor medical issue that will require him to be given medication daily. Spike is otherwise a happy and healthy boy with a great quality of life.
Given VetDogs’ high standards, this will prohibit Spike from becoming a service dog for a veteran with disabilities. However, we are pleased to announce he will be adopted by his Puppy Raiser Jana Haas and will live out a full and happy life as a pet. Spike will always be a member of the Atlanta United family and will continue to be an ambassador to help spread awareness about service dogs and Atlanta United’s commitment to supporting the veteran and first responder community.
Atlanta United fans can look forward to seeing Spike attend future matches and club events!
