1. Josef Martinez’s game-winner against FC Cincinnati on Nov. 7
Josef Martinez's goal in the 79th minute left supporters in awe. The Venezuelan striker's well-timed volley gave Atlanta the 2-1 win on Decision Day, clinching the club's fourth-ever berth in the MLS Cup Playoffs.
2. Ezequiel Barco's free kick against D.C. United on Sept. 18
The Argentine midfielder hit the free kick perfectly in the 18th minute, giving Atlanta the lead in what resulted in a 3-2 victory for the 5-Stripes. It was the second consecutive match that Barco scored on a direct free kick.
3. Barco goal against Chicago Fire FC on April 24
Who can forget this free kick from Ezequiel Barco? After taking the kick, the ball bounced off the wall but Barco was ready and scored the game's opening goal on his own rebound. Atlanta United won that night 3-1 against Chicago Fire FC.
4. Luiz Araújo's free kick against Inter Miami on Oct. 27
In the 59th minute, Luiz Araújo stepped up to take the free kick and scored the game equalizer. What made this free kick memorable was Araújo's decision to shoot under, not over, the wall. Atlanta finished the match with a 2-1 victory over Inter Miami FC.
5. Marcelino Moreno's goal against Toronto FC on Oct. 16
Marcelino Moreno is known for his quick movements on the ball and this game proved to be no different. After receiving a great pass from defender Alan Franco, Moreno went up against a Toronto defense and scored the goal as he fell. This strike gave Atlanta United a 2-0 victory and the club's first win at BMO Field.
