Goalkeeper Jayden Hibbert joined Atlanta United after spending the 2024 season with Atlanta United 2. Hibbert was selected as the No. 19 overall pick out of the University of Connecticut in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft. He signed with the club on Jan. 12, 2024.
During the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season, Hibbert started in 19 of his 19 regular season appearances. The Jamaican international set a new ATL UTD 2 single season saves record with 89. He set a club record 13 saves in a 1-1 draw at Inter Miami CF II on Aug. 18, where he also made a save in a penalty shootout win. Hibbert made his ATL UTD 2 debut on April 21 against FC Cincinnati 2.
Prior to Atlanta, the Teaneck, New Jersey native spent two years at UConn. He appeared in all 14 matches for the Huskies during the 2023 campaign, making 41 total saves, making at least three saves in nine separate matches and was named the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week twice. In his freshman season, Hibbert appeared in six games and registered 15 saves.
Before he joined UConn, Hibbert won the 2019 state and national championship with St. Benedict’s Prep.
2024 (Atlanta United 2): MLS NEXT Pro: Started 19 of his 19 regular season appearances and recorded 89 saves, a single-season record for ATL UTD 2. Set a club record 13 saves in a 1-1 draw at Inter Miami CF II Aug. 18, he also made a save in the penalty shootout win. Sent on loan to USL side Birmingham Legion for four matches.
International: Hibbert was called up by Jamaica for 2026 World Cup Qualifier matches in June where he was available on the bench for both matches.
