Atlanta United announced today that Harrison Heath has been loaned to Sacramento Republic FC. The midfielder has made two appearances this season.
“This move provides Harrison a good opportunity to get playing time in an effort to aide in his development,” Atlanta United Technical Director Carlos Bocanegra said.
Heath, 21, joined Atlanta United after spending the previous three seasons with Orlando City SC, first joining the club on July 17, 2014 when the Lions were in USL. In Orlando, Heath had six career appearances in MLS with five starts. He made his Major League Soccer debut in 2015. The England native spent his youth career with the Houston Dynamo and Norwich City before signing with Orlando. He is the son of Minnesota United head coach Adrian Heath.
Atlanta United returns to MLS action Saturday against Columbus Crew SC on Saturday, July 1. Kickoff from MAPFRE Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The match will be televised on FOX Sports Southeast.
