Atlanta United today announced that defender Mikey Ambrose had successful surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee and will miss three-to-four months. He suffered the injury during ATL UTD 2’s match against Nashville SC on July 25.
Atlanta United (14-4-6, 48 points) will return to action when it hosts Columbus Crew SC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 19 (4:00 p.m., FOX Sports South, Sports Radio 92-9 The Game).
