Career Summary

Acquired: Traded to Atlanta from Toronto FC on Dec. 13, 2016 in exchange for Clint Irwin and General Allocation Money.

Bloom joins Atlanta after spending the last four seasons with Toronto FC where he made all of his 39 career MLS appearances, 37 starts. He also brings MLS Cup playoff experience, helping Toronto win the Eastern Conference in 2016. He originally joined Toronto on loan from former NASL team Atlanta Silverbacks in 2013. Toronto signed Bloom on a permanent transfer ahead of the 2014 season where he started a career-high 26 matches. Bloom was traded to Atlanta United after Toronto goalkeeper Clint Irwin was selected by Atlanta in the 2016 Expansion Draft, only to be sent back to Toronto in exchange for Bloom and General Allocation Money.

2016 (Toronto FC): Bloom played in seven MLS matches with the senior team, where he made five starts and recorded two assists. He also spent part of the 2016 season playing with Toronto’s USL affiliate, Toronto FC II, where he made two appearances. PLAYOFFS: Bloom played in two matches, as a substitute on each occasion –at NYCFC in the conference semifinals (Nov. 6) and at Montreal Impact in the conference finals (Nov. 22).

2015 (Toronto FC): Bloom did not make an appearance after dealing with a quadriceps injury for much of the year.

2014 (Toronto FC): Bloom had his loan option exercised by Toronto and made a permanent move prior to the 2014 campaign. He played and started in a career-high 26 matches while playing the full 90 minutes on 21 occasions. Bloom recorded his only assist of the year against Columbus Crew SC in a 2-0 win (April 6).

2013 (Toronto FC): After joining Toronto FC on loan from NASL club Atlanta Silverbacks, Bloom made his MLS debut on Sept. 14 at New York Red Bulls. He made six appearances with the club, all starts, and registered one assist, the first of his MLS career, against DC United (Sept. 28).

2013 (Atlanta Silverbacks): Bloom signed with the Atlanta Silverbacks ahead of the 2013 season and featured in 14 matches, including a pair of U.S. Open Cup games. He was then loaned to Toronto FC on July 12, 2013.

2012 (Charlotte Eagles): He made 14 appearances and recorded one assist.

2011 (Charlotte Eagles): Bloom signed with Charlotte Eagles of the USL and made 20 appearances with the club and scored two goals with two assists.

2010 (St. Louis): Bloom signed his first professional contract with AC St. Louis of the USSF Division 2 Professional League. He made 11 appearances with the club.

COLLEGE: At Berry College, Bloom helped the Vikings win two conference titles and was named MVP his senior year. In 64 matches, he netted 12 goals and recorded 10 assists.
