Atlanta United isn't in Florida just for the sunshine. The 5-Stripes are playing a series of MLS opponents to prepare for the regular season, with the next being New England Revolution. The two Eastern Conference sides will square off in a preseason battle at 1 p.m. ET Saturday February 8 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
On Thursday, Luke Brennan said he heat is hardening the squad, and another 90 minutes will be another great test of the team's fitness. It will be the fourth game of Atlanta United's preseason, having already played Chattanooga FC, Birmingham Legion FC, and Orlando City SC.
The 5-Stripes met New England early in 2024 as well, when Atlanta United dominated in a 4-1 win at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in . Still a preseason match, anticipate large squad swaps at half to give everyone a chance to get their legs under them.
