ATL UTD 2 pulled one goal back in the 86th minute through Guillermo BenÃtez when he scored his first professional goal. However, Atlanta’s rally fell short as it could not find the equalizer in the final minutes.
Charleston travels to Kennesaw after a 1-1 draw with New York Red Bulls II last Saturday, June 29 at MUSC Health Stadium. Despite Tah Anunga receiving a straight-red card just before the halftime whistle, Nicque Daley handed Charleston the lead in the 54th minute on a breakaway. Mathias Jørgensen later leveled the match for New York when he buried a close-range shot in the box in the 80th minute. Charleston enters Friday’s match with a 1-4-2 record on the road this season.
