Academy player David Mejia tallied his second game-winning goal of the campaign in that match. Phillip Goodrum took over the team lead with his third assist on the season.
The Miami FC is coming off a 1-1 draw with Charleston Battery in its last match. Miami’s attack is led by former Atlanta United player Romario Williams who has scored five goals. Another former Atlanta player, Harrison Heath leads the team in assists with two. Miami’s lone victory of the season came on Aug. 23 when it defeated Charlotte Independence.
