ATL UTD 2 heads back on the road to complete a four-match road swing Wednesday night when they face Philadelphia Union II. Phillip Goodrum scored his first goal of the year in the team’s last contest at Tampa Bay. Amadou Macky Diop leads the team with five goals, while goalkeeper Ben Lundgaard is tied for the USL Championship lead in saves with 42.
Philadelphia has not played a match since Aug. 5 after having three consecutive matches postponed. Union II picked up its first win last time out, a 3-2 victory over New York Red Bulls II. Jack McGlynn was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 7 after having a goal and assist in the victory over Red Bulls II.
Atlanta leads the all-time series 2-1-1 against Philadelphia Union II, formerly Bethlehem Steel FC. In the last match between the two sides, ATL UTD 2 picked up a 5-2 victory at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Oct. 9, 2019.
