How to watch, listen, and stream Atlanta United vs. Philadelphia Union

Recent Form

Atlanta United gained their first road point against New York City FC. The 1-1 draw brought their record to 3-2-1 with 10 points on the Eastern Conference table. Jamal Thiaré continued his promising start to the season, getting the 5-Stripes on the board with his third goal of the season. Edwin Mosquera and Brad Guzan assisted on the goal; it was Guzan’s first career MLS assist.

In the last home match back on March 31 against Chicago Fire, Atlanta earned their second clean sheet of the season. Atlanta United has conceded the fewest goals in the league (5), tied with FC Cincinnati.

Series History and Last Meeting

Atlanta United and Philadelphia Union have an even record of 5-5-5 against each other. In the last meeting, the Union won 3-2 but it was a two-goal comeback effort from Atlanta that made the match interesting.

Players to Watch

Julián Carranza (Philadelphia Union) – With four goals in five MLS matches and four goals in three Concacaf Champions Cup appearances, Carranza has played a large part in Philadelphia’s strong start. His scoring ability has been on full display so far for the club. Keeping him off the scoresheet would pay dividends for the 5-Stripes.

Noah Cobb (Atlanta United) – After the injury to Gregersen, homegrown Noah Cobb stepped up in a big way. This season, he only has three games with the first team under his belt, but it is clear his confidence is growing with each match. The backline will have to stand tall against Philadelphia’s direct playing style this Sunday.

“Now that I have played a few games – I got three in a row,” said Cobb to local media on Tuesday. “I think I am growing in confidence. I don’t know if try certain passes I wouldn’t try is the right word, but I am trusting my ability to pass between lines and pick a pass further up the field.”
