Atlanta United announced the signing of Academy midfielder Adyn Torres on May 5, 2024. Torres spent 2023 with ATL UTD 2 before becoming a Homegrown player on Jan. 1, 2024.
Torres is the first player in Atlanta United history to work his way through every level of the club’s development pathway. Torres began his Atlanta United career in the club’s Regional Development School (RDS) before being selected to join the Academy in 2020.
During the 2024 campaign, Torres spent his time with Atlanta United’s First Team, ATL UTD 2 and the Atlanta United Academy. On May 7, Torres made his First Team debut as a substitute in a 3-0 win in the U.S. Open Cup over Charlotte Independence. Torres appeared in 21 matches for ATL UTD 2, tallying 905 minutes. In July, Torres was selected to represent the club at the 2024 MLS NEXT All-Star Game in Columbus, Ohio.
In 2023, Torres made his club debut as a substitute at Inter Miami CF II on May 7. He totaled 496 through 10 regular season appearances.
2024 (Atlanta United): U.S. Open Cup: Made his Atlanta United debut in a 3-0 win over Charlotte Independence in the Round of 32. Torres also made an appearance off the bench in Atlanta United’s penalty shootout victory over Charleston Battery in the Round of 16. (Atlanta United 2): MLS NEXT Pro: Started 10 of his 21 regular season appearances, totaling 905 minutes played. (Atlanta United Academy): Was named to the 2024 MLS NEXT All-Star Game in Columbus, Ohio.
2023 (Atlanta United 2): Started seven of his 10 regular season appearances, tallying 496 minutes. Made his debut on May 7 at Inter Miami CF II.
International: Torres has made numerous appearances for the United States Youth National Team squads. He received two call ups in 2024, including a call-up to the U-18 squad for friendlies against Japan and Peru in Niigata.
